neighbor who works in 3001 on E-3 systems. He
had to work on the flight recorder data of instruments (not voice)
and said that though the recorder was in bad shape (charred and burnt)
and altitude, speed, bank and pitch were missing, the epr showed both
#1 and #2 engines going out almost simultaneously and a bit later
#4 being throttled back as the flight deck fought the tourque and tried
to gain control with #3 and #4 going to the firewall just before the
data ended (impact).
Did I mention to you that the MSgt OConnel was Steve Miranda from
the 963rd Tactics? 1984 to about 1987. I've know Steve for quite
awhile and saw him in the 966th recently. I guess just back for
sim, etc.
