Commenting out the if (qp_found = probe_qp()) { statement and just
setting qp_found = 1 and saying if (qp_found) { worked for me.

Granted that's not one of the most robust solutions to our little problem,
but it works and that's all that really matters to me *right now*.

Now I could only get pesky dosemu0.60 to compile. It keeps choking on
libdosemu-0.60.3.
