I've only had 1.3.37 hang when running X11, low on memory, heavy
swapping and switching from a text VC to X display. (ALT-F? --> ALT-F7)
Under these circumstances the top of the X screen gets short vertical
bars about 1/8th down the screen. The screen may shift and the system
locks. This may not be a kernel problem but rather an X problem.
