The exception:

use \ to escape to Uppercase as in:
You type:
USERNAME USERNAME
Passwd \Passwd

When in uppercase mode,
and you have: You type:
username username (It'll display USERNAME)
Passwd \Passwd

This works BTW on Solaris, and it DID work a long time ago on Linux when I did
test it....
