Curious, I can't read /proc/self/mem, or
/proc/pid/mem as any user on the system, including root. Is there
some reason why this is the case? This is on a 1.3.60
machine... (because i've been too lazy to upgrade to 1.3.63 -- have
an uptime longer than someone elses freebsd machine in the same
room -- nyeah!)
