Well, hopefully, by the time that 2.0 gets around, all this will
be documented. I *assume* that all the developers who
added/changed features in the kernel that require user updates
(ps, ipfw, gcc versions for pentium support, etc), are
documenting all the stuff users need to update when they go to
kernel 2.0 will be in one big file. Prolly tons of ppl will say
"why doesn't this work anymore?" Then we can say, RTFM.
Personally, I think this is VERY important for this next release.
Since it's a new major release, on top of everything else, it
should be damned near perfect. I think documenting all the stuff
changed should be finished before release; even if perhaps it
means releasing a couple 1.3.* kernels that have nothing but
changes in Documentation/*.
