Hi,
for a short time during the development cycle of 1.3.x, I was using
SuperMount and I really loved it; this patch makes using CD-ROMs and
floppy disks a lot more convenient. Unfortunately, it happens to have
broken with newer kernel releases (somewhere around 1.3.5x). I tried
to fix the problems myself, but the changes to the filesystem-mounting
code were quite large and I did not succeed in adapting SuperMount. If
there is an updated version, I would appreciate, if I was pointed to
it.
Is there any chance, that SuperMount could still make it into 1.4.x
(or 2.0.x if we really want to bump up the major version number at
this time)? I believe, this would be one of the user-visible changes
that make for a long-awaited improvement.
