Hi, people.

Is anyone else experiencing a "pop" before and/or after they
play a sound under the Temporarily Anonymous Sound Driver v3.5
(included in all kernels above 1.3.5?) with a SoundBlaster 16?

It does on 1.3.59 for me. It didn't for 1.2.9+. On the other end,
the micro now starts to work for 1.3.59, while it did not in 1.2.9+.
But it is being turned on and off depending on events in a way I did
not identify.

If I don't get any responses about others hearing a "pop",
perhaps it's time I get a new sound card.

I do not think the problem is in the sound card by itself.
My (rather wild) guess is that the pops might be related to the
micro being suddenly turned on or off electronically. If it was
the case, maybe volume settings for the micro could be cascaded
instead of being abrupt. (But I really do not know.)

One simple try (which I did not do) would be to see if the pops
still happen with the micro physically disconnected.
