SERIOUS Bug...

I can reliably lock a 1.3.xx series kernel (including 1.3.69). Normally,
it locks during any heavy disk access, including (but NOT limited to)
backups.

This bug has caused down time, lockups, data corruption.

I can demonstrate this --> start a few copies of 'updatedb'. Repeatedly
execute 'bdflush'. (sync would probably do the same thing).

It will lock solid.

1.3.69
Modular Kernel
CMD 640B HD

I've seen some other posts on problems with large amounts of IDE IO. We
have a SERIOUS bug here.
