Kernel version: 1.1.59
Sound card: MS Sound System

Whenever I boot Linux the sound card detect sequence reports the
following message:

ad_detect_B (nn/ff)

Where nn is 0, 80, or 81.

When I try to use the sound system with a .au file it usually plays the
file and then loops and plays part of it again. Also I see the
following message appear:

ad1848: Auto calibration timed out(2).

Does anyone have any idea what the ploblem may be and how I can go about
fixing it?o

Also, being a MS Sound System, it also contains the Yamaha 2-OP FM
system at 0x388. I had to enable Adlib driver support just to get it to
detect the Yamaha chip. Is there a reason as to why this wasn't coded
into the configure code? Has this been changed in later versions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Other than the sound system, I
have had no problems with Linux and am very happy with it. Though
soon's I can I will be upgrading the entire system to the latest version
kernel and libraries.
