The important info for Hannu is that this Board/drive combo will automatically
use DMA data transfers on the IDE interface. The triton chipset reserves a
special DMA channel for this purpose, so one would not expect any conflict
with the soundcard.. but odds are pretty good that the problem has something
to do with DMA, or perhaps PCI bus latency.

The IDE timeout above indicates that the drive DMA transfer
"hung" without completing. Very Strange.

The BIOS should not matter for this.
