I am having a serious problem with Linux 1.2.13, a kernel that was
said to be stable and is crashing from time to time, locking up all
terminals and not answering to the modems calls. My system is
slackware 3.0.0 with kernel 1.2.13 and getty-ps 2.07h. Is getty-ps
2.07h stable? my modems are connected to the computer by a comtrol
rocketport with 1.09Beta driver

This particular oops is probably one which will be fixed by going to the
1.10 rocketport driver. I can't tell for sure without translating the
EIP into a symbol, but the EIP does look like it's coming from a
loadable module, and there were some race conditions fixed in 1.10 that
answer to this rough description.
