I tried to compile binutils-2.6.0.12, unsuccesfully:

the compilation was done in the following (isolated) environment:
binutils-2.6.0.12.bin.tar.gz
libc-5.3.9.bin.tar.gz
linux-1.3.85 headers
gcc-2.7.2.l.3 (self-compiled)
Any ideas ?
