Hi!

My system: old 486DX266, OPTI chipset, 32MB RAM, 3 IDE DISKS, CDROM SCSI,
AHA1542, NE2000, GUS

Yesterday I got kernel panic first time in my 3 years of using Linux.
System was up for six days running 1.3.77 (used from its release).
There was no users activity for a few minutes and I was reading a letter.
Then it happened (written down exactly):

kernel panic: skput: over: 01af4dfc:490

then system stopped responding to any terminals (consoles and 2 remote)
but all special console key combination worked all the time.
System was pingable and I was getting 'connected' when telneting.
Unfortunately I had no time to write down results of [CTRL,SHIFT,ALT]+SCRLCK
pressing, but I remember plenty of free memory reported and one
of httpd marked 'current' on process list.
After rebooting with hard reset everythig went OK. Nothing special
in logs but the panic message. Report about incoming mail one minute
earlier.

Please, tell me what this panic means and if it's about something
improved/fixed in later kernels. I can provide any additional information
about my system if needed.

Emil
