First off, you should post this question to the
sparclinux@vger.rutgers.edu list where all the SparcLinux people like
Dave Miller are. It works on sun4c and sun4m machines (5, 10). It
works extremely well. I have seen some Sparcs run X Windows and do
other neat things. It is faster than SunOS and has binary
compatibility for SunOS as well. For some sun4m machines (depend on
the MMU type) that have multiple CPUs, SMP works as well.
