I tried booting 1.2.14 (it compiled cleanly) but I `got a ran out of data'
error right after the boot prompt, before the kernel attempted to load.
Luckily I had a vmlinuz-1.3.86 on my boot partition so I was still able to
get my system booted from lilo.
