"floppy0: Unable to allocate DMA memory" -- frequent problem

I frequently get this message when I try to use my floppy after the
system has been running for a while (I have 32 MB of RAM). The only
way I've been able to clear this is to create a huge file and then
delete it, which flushes out any stray buffered files. This really
isn't a very nice solution.
