Kernel panics

Hi Folks!

I'm a kernel newbie flame magnet, just asking for it. Anyway, I just patched up
from 1.3.89 to 1.3.100, and I'm getting the following upon bootup:

Jun 7 00:20:08 juggernaut kernel: fcntl_setlk() called by process 47 with broke
n flock() emulation
Jun 7 00:20:08 juggernaut kernel: fcntl_setlk() called by process 50 with broke
n flock() emulation
Jun 7 00:20:11 juggernaut sendmail[51]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): No local mailer
defined
Jun 7 00:20:11 juggernaut sendmail[51]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR(root): cannot chdir((nu
ll)): Bad address
Jun 7 00:20:12 juggernaut kernel: fcntl_setlk() called by process 58 with broke
n flock() emulation
Jun 7 00:20:12 juggernaut kernel: fcntl_setlk() called by process 55 with broke
n flock() emulation
Jun 7 00:20:12 juggernaut kernel: fcntl_setlk() called by process 56 with broke
n flock() emulation

Should I just configure my sendmail (finally) and quit bugging you? I did check
ps after I logged in as root, and found that some of the specified processes no
longer existed. The ones which remained were lpd, bash, and a couple of agetty's.
The OS itself, as well as X and PPP, seem to be working just fine. I haven't
tried lpd yet, but my xterm shells are OK.

Should I worry about it?

Thanks,
Scott Miller
