It looks like many persons are getting DMA timeout messages with some
applications. The common thing with them is that there is likely to be
pauses in output due to CPU or network overload (doom, vat).
Handling of these situations has improved in latest beta test versions of
the driver so maybe they have already been fixed. Please look at
