It depends on what you are doing with it. First of all, Netscape has
a configurable memory cache size which certainly used to default to
3MB. That's at least 3MB of process size which will only accumulate
over time. Then there's the loading of Java class libraries, which
won't happen unless you start running applets. Another big hike in
RSS. Then there are the reported applet memory leaks.
Given all that Netscape _can_ do, it's not surprising to see a 19MB
Netscape process. That doesn't mean that all Netscape processes will
be that large.
