mount problem with kernel 2.0.7

I am using mount from util-linux 2.5 compiled with gcc 2.7.2 & libc 5.2.18 with
kernel 2.0.7.
When I try: mount -t auto /dev/fd0 /mnt
with a msdos floppy I get a segmentation fault. Any tips gratefully received.
