don't know if this behaviour is normal : when a new cd is put in my ide
cd-rom player, this happens :

Sep 7 21:05:44 grobbebol linux: hdc : tray open or drive not ready

looks ok, since the tray is pulled inside automagically (those wizz-kids,
?eh)

Sep 7 21:05:44 grobbebol kernel: ATAPI device hdc:
Sep 7 21:05:44 grobbebol kernel: Error code: 0x70
Sep 7 21:05:44 grobbebol kernel: Sense key: 0x02 - Not ready
Sep 7 21:05:44 grobbebol kernel: Additional sense data: 0x3a, 0x00 - Medium not present
Sep 7 21:05:44 grobbebol kernel: Failed packet command: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

it looks like if the command is sent before the cd player is ready ?

Sep 7 21:05:49 grobbebol kernel: hdc: media changed
Sep 7 21:05:49 grobbebol kernel: ATAPI device hdc:
Sep 7 21:05:49 grobbebol kernel: Error code: 0x70
Sep 7 21:05:49 grobbebol kernel: Sense key: 0x06 - Unit attention
Sep 7 21:05:49 grobbebol kernel: Additional sense data: 0x28, 0x00 - Not ready to ready transition, medium may have changed
Sep 7 21:05:49 grobbebol kernel: Failed packet command: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
Sep 7 21:05:49 grobbebol kernel: ISO9660 Extensions: RRIP_1991A

and then this.. ; ok. it works at last but I haven't seen this many times
before. I think it started around 2.0.14 or so. not too sure though.
