Since things aren't going well with your 2.0.20 kernel, how about backing
up to 2.0.10? I have 2 big (50 ports in use, 64-80 ports installed) very
busy linux term servers running 2.0.10 with uptimes of 50 days. If you
still get panics with 2.0.10 after a few hours, I'd suspect hardware.
Otherwise, someone may have broken the PPP code again.

A few months ago, I had a several month old system start doing seemingly
random panics. It turned out to have refurbished simms, and one had gone
bad. If you open the box, look for the date codes on the individual chips
on your simms. If the simms are refurbs, you're likely to find chip dates
from all over.
