ne2000 pci clone

I just put a ne2000 pci card in my system which has been running 2.0.0 since
2.0.0 was released. My old card was an ne2000 isa clone and it always
initialized and functioned properly. This new card of mine is being probed
during bootup as a ne1000. I saw some comments about ne2000 pci a few weeks
back but didnt read them because i didnt have one. Whats the status of this
driver? Is there something i can do to make the card initialize properly?
It works fine with my microstink products.
