I read the Multi-host mini faq and it starts by saying that one
should have linux 2.0.x with IP aliasing. It says it works with v2.0.12,
which I can't find anymore.
Now when I try to compile linux 2.0.21 with IP aliasing (and Network aliasing),
after make xconfig it says:
WARNING - broken Config.in! CONFIG_AEDSP16 was not declared!
then I:
make dep clean zImage modules modules_install
cp /usr/src/linux/......./boot/zImage /vmlinuz
/sbin/lilo
shutdown -r 0
and it reboots with the messages
SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
SIOCSIFBRADDR: No such device
SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable
SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable
and I have no network connection. :-(
Same problem with 2.0.14
I'm totally stumped, and I really need this multi-IP thing wich I
told my boss could be done with linux. And of course, it's urgent.
Below is my config file, in case it helps pointing out some dumb
mistake (very possible).
I'd really really like someone to tell me what's wrong.
