2.1.9 still don't like gpm

I've noticed people talking about problems with SLIP, PPP, and even
the X mouse on 2.1.8. I had problems with gpm in 2.1.9 and 2.1.9. I
killed gpm, and started X. The mouse is herky-jerky there too, in both
kernel versions.

Guys: Is there a general serial problem in 2.1.8 and 2.1.9?
