And for 'normal' driver writers: aren't generic driver files available ?
The Linux Kernel Hackers Guide is really outdated, so where to find good
help for writing a (SCSI/BLOCK/CHAR) driver(-module) ?

BTW. A good generic driver would help hardware vendors write a driver !
