fork error

People,

I was running my 2.0.25 with a Pentium100 and 32mb RAM when I got
a fork error. Here are the entries in syslog:

Nov 23 14:49:07 cpu inetd[49]: fork: Out of memory
Nov 23 14:50:01 cpu inetd[49]: fork: Out of memory
Nov 23 14:50:10 cpu inetd[49]: fork: Out of memory

What is this?
