Avoid overflowing (wrap) with ip accouting (32bit reg)

Hi,

I use ip accouting in promiscuous mode on a very busy ethernet and one of
the rules says:
10830395 3557525313 i/o all anywhere anywhere n/a

after only a few hours, and eventually it wraps back to 0.
I know that I can log the result and reset the counter more often, but I
would prefer by far having a 64 bit counter.

That machine is running 2.0.18.
Are there any kernel patches to solve that problem?

Marc
