There is a patch for this. There are also watchdog drivers in 2.0.x that
will reboot if the machine jams up - both software ones (catch most problems)
and hardware ones (these effectively hit the reset button if the box
chokes). Hardware watchdogs that will also generate temperature alarms and
watch voltage levels on the 12v and 5v are under UKP 200 (and I guess US$300)
and for a 24x7 machine well worth thinking about.
