Quite right! Your description of how get_user() works is quite good,
and corresponds to my investigation of how the new get_user() stuff
works. It's actually quite efficient and brilliant (in a sick, twisted
sort of way :-).

Would you be willing to have your text written added to the Kernel
Hacker's Guide?

And this is a general reminder to all that the Linux Kernel Hacker's
Guide is available at

http://www.redhat.com:8080/HyperNews/get/khg.html

and it would be really good if we all remember to take the little snippets
of text that we generate as we're doing this sort of research, or doing
the design for some new and funky change for 2.1, to take the time to at
least send a copy of what we've done to the Kernel Hacker's Guide.

I've gotten a lot of complaints from people wanting the Linux Kernel
internals to be better documented; well, the only way this is going to
happen if we all pitch in a little and help!!
