Yes. But I'd assume you are doing this for performance. If so go out and
buy a decent SCSI card (eg a buslogic 958) and a pair of passable SCSI disks.
Get yourself a decent DMA driven network card (Tulip or Lance based that
means for most cases). Add plenty of memory. Add CPU

In order of importance

Fast IO controller
Decent motherboard with good memory bandwidth
Plenty of RAM
Decent network card
Processor
