/proc/mounts chroot bug or feature?

When you mount filesystems from within a chrooted environment,
/proc/mounts shows the mount point relative to the chrooted
environment. Is this intentional? From outside of the chrooted
environment, this looks kind of wierd.

This is normally not an issue -- but it is sometimes useful to mount
from a chrooted environment when using rescue disks.
