Upgrading to gdb-4.16

Hi again,
After building gdb-4.16, I ran into an unusual error after the compile complet
ed.
I ran the newly built executable, and at the start of the debug run, I got to se
e
the following:

warning: Unable to find dynamic linker breakpoint function.
warning: GDB will be unable to debug shared library initializers
warning: and track explicitly loaded dynamic code.

Which particular flag/flags did I forget to give to ./configure at the beginning
of
the build stage? Or is this error related to system setup/layout.

For your info:
linux kernel 2.1.14 ELF
no modules
libc-5.4.17
ld.so-1.8.5
gcc-2.7.2
IDE only, no SCSI. Running XFree3.2 when the wife isnt watching ;)
