smbfs and kernel 2.1.16

Since upgrading to 2.1.16 I can no longer successfully run 'shares'
I can still mount the 'share' but very soon after mounting it disappears
and then I get error messages as follows:

kernel: smb_statfs: dskattr error = 5

Is anyone else seeing this?
