What is your kernel version, and is this an SMP machine? We are
seeing the same phenomenon on one --and only one-- SMP machine; the
only thing different was that that one machine was running 2.0.25
whereas the rest was running 2.0.14. We were using Don Becker's
0.28-all driver with 3c90x support in it (we have a couple of those,
too.) We replaced the 3c595 with an SMC 9332BDT (tulip) card using
Don Becker's 0.42 driver and haven't seen that problem again.
