Hi,
I got a serious problem with any kind of 2.1.xx kernels!
When I try to boot such a kernel, my box simply makes a cold-boot after printing NOW BOOTING
TH KERNEL(I'm not sure if this is the exact messsage since the screen is cleared to fast, but
I think you know what I'm talking of). I don't belive that it is a real hardware-problem
because my second box has the same problem and the only piece of hardware which is the same
in both boxes is the NE2000 clone(o.k. this could be the problem).
So, here is my hardware configuration:

1st-Box:

CPU: PENTIUM 100MHz S-CPU

Mainboard: GigaByte GA-586HX
Bios V4.51PG
PNP-EXTENSION V1.0A
06/25/96-i430HX-2A59FG0BC-0

SCSI-Card: Adaptec AH2940
BIOS V1.21

VGA-Card: ATI-264VT

Network-Card: COMPEX EN2000-CX

Sound-Card: MEDIA VISION ProSonic16

2nd-Box:

CPU: AMD386DX40

Mainboard: TMC PAT38PX

IDE-Card: No-Name

Video: HGA

Network-Card: COMPEX EN2000-CX

ISDN: Teles16.0

I really hope that someone can help me. If I forgot any information you need, please ask!
By the way: all versions of 2.0.xx kernels work without any problems.

Christian

ps: please send answers directly to me too, because I'm NOT on the kernel-mailing-list since I
think that there is too much traffic for someone who is not working on any part of the
kernel.
