Unfortunately my hardware configuration doesn't allow me to. But when it
was working it was running kernels up to around 2.0.25, maybe .26, with
IRQ 5, primary address, "ATI-XL" driver.

Hmm. Busmouse thing is interesting. I was using the atixl driver with no
problems. Maybe you should try that one. Device was inportbm though, I
think.
