I am writing a device driver for a device which needs 64-bit wide
seeks even on 32-bit platforms. This is more or less ok for read/write
using llseek, but I am seeking your advice on how to do a mmap with a
64-bit offset.
Are there any plans to give the 32-bit Linux versions 64-bit file
operations in general? This would also be an issue for asynchronous
I/O.
