I have uploaded version 3.8-beta4 of the sound driver to
ftp://ftp.4front-tech.com/ossfree. It should be available through few
mirrors within about a day (see
http://www.4front-tech.com/ossfree/alpha.html for list of them). In
addition I sent this version to Linus for inclusion into 2.1.25/26.
This version should fix all known problems with sound in 2.1.x, including
the select()/poll() related compile problems.
Note that this version requires Linux 2.1.24 or later.
