Hi all. During excessive disk activity, I received the following error
from 1.2.26, libc 5.2.18. I was having some real problems with my 2940
and later libc versions. (at least I think that was it..) The kernel
reported these errors, hence linux-kernel, but aren't they just scsi
driver problems?

These are the errors reported to the screen and syslog: (from various
parts of messages; may not all be related)

I was having a problem with motherboard, so I replaced it with a new one.
To make sure it was in fact the motherboard, I ran a shell script that
copies data excessivly in an attempt to produces the scsi and ide timeouts
I was getting. It ran for more than an hour with average of 17 load
average, and no problems.

I have two 2.1 gig scsi disks connected internally to a 2940, bios 1.16
(no autoterm) and externally is a Pioneer DRM-604x and a jaz drive.

I'm pretty sure about termination, etc, and the fact that the disks are
just fine.

Also, like I said, the cp's ran for more than an hour, so I know its not a
bad cdrom, or even part of it.

ps. What is an SCB?

Any ideas?
Thanks,
