and on top of that the loopback device disappeared.. now when i change to
2.0.29 with the same compile options it all works, the loopback device
shows up again, and routing goes back to normal.... ohh, and last of all i
get this little message when running pppd on 2.1.28:
'kernel: pppd forgot to specify route netmask'
doesn't do this in 2.0.29......
