mounting cdroms

The CDROM HOWTO doesn't cover this, but I found it useful
to mount doscententric CDROMs with
norock,check=r.

(Using a browser, the lynx have to be spelled right...)

However, now I noticed (after invetigating) netscape was doing
a
stat("nav_ma.html ")

The links look like:
nav_le.htm:<LI><A HREF="nav_ma.htm #vacation"

Is there a way to harmlessly mount to accept extensions of > 3
bytes?

In the mount manpage of 7/5/96, I don't see it...

If there isn't a way, there seems like a useful option.
