hello.

i just got back (tried to atleast) into the development kernels several
days back. The day before .34 was released actually. Anyhow i got .33
compiled (had some funny errors in the code... i sent a message on it)
after a bit... but when i tried to boot it off of a floppy or using lilo
from the disk it would start loading and then end up scrolling the stack
code, etc., about half way through. I did not think much of it and
booted an old 2.0 floppy. The next day .34 came out. I got this
compiled it and got the same result. I tried .30 thinking something
funny might have slipped in. Same thing. So i got .35 today...... and
lo and behold i got the same thing :). this time i decided to write
down the shit. this really sucked because it does not pause or
nothing....... some of the numbers change as it is moving through the
stack??? anyhow it reboots after like 30secs then i have to wait and
start writing quickly again. I finnaly got it all and have included it
as an atachment. The '*' are where the numbers were changing as the
pages flew by :). I saw one page of this code right around "Ramdisk
initialized" and "Serial driver....". it jumps past this and i cannot
see it very well. The code i copied down happens (shows up) right after
the kernel see my nec cdrom. i included /var/log/messages, which has no
info on the kernel that does not boot :(, and also some specs on my
machine (tell me if u need to know more abou it). Well i really want to
use these kernels for various reasons, but i am stumped on this
problem. Any help is very much desired. thanks
taylor cc
