2.1.35 and X

Wowzers, 2.1.35 does strange things to my XFree. When using
Netscpae 4b3, my load soars up to 16.00 on a p90 with 72mb of ram.
This is my workstation, single user, no significant background processes.
Booting back to 2.1.29 solves all problems.
Config:
Intel P90 (with FDIV)
72 MB Ram
AHA-2940UW
1 3GB Fast/Wide SCSI Drive
1 SCSI CD-ROM
S3Virge/VX 8meg
XFree86 3.2A
No modules, ppp, nothing else snazzy.
