Have you contacted Eric van der Maarel on that piece of code? I have
code from him which does the initialization of the IDE interface of my
soundcard (ISP-16v3) and depends on NOT anybody else modifying/removing
cdi.c (because the soundcard uses a chipset different from the ISP-16).
