System freeze

Hi,

I'm recently switched our ORACLE server to a new machine (PPro 200, 64MB,
3c905 networking card, ...) from the old P90 one. Now I get system freezes
every once in a while (every other day). It starts with the message:

Apr 18 10:03:22 gauss kernel: Problem: block on freelist at 02e9b810 isn't free.

After that sysklogd stop on signal 15 and the system hangs completely. The
only thing I can do is press the reset button.

Since the 3c905 driver is pretty new I tried running the machine with an old
ne2000 card, but the freeze still happens. So it seems it's either the
standard kernel (2.0.30) or the iBCS module (970212). But then it ran fine
with 2.0.29 and ibcs 970212 on the P90 machine. Could it be a hardware
problem?

Thanks in advance for every answer. I have to get this machine running
stable before anyone suggests to move it back to SCO. :-)

Michael
