Odd findings in 2.1.36

I noticed something kinda odd after compiling 2.1.36 last night..
(btw, I DL'ed the full source, and not the patch.)

It compiled with a few warnings (some variables defined but not used),
and is running fine.. But....... (here we go..)

IPV6 still returns unresolved symbols when compiled as a module.. I
get the following:

aurania:~# modprobe ipv6
/lib/modules/2.1.36/ipv6/ipv6.o: unresolved symbol sysctl_tcp_sack
/lib/modules/2.1.36/ipv6/ipv6.o: unresolved symbol sysctl_tcp_window_scaling
/lib/modules/2.1.36/ipv6/ipv6.o: unresolved symbol sysctl_tcp_timestamps

I didn't find any of those functions in any of the source or header
files in the ipv4 or ipv6 source trees, except for in tcp_ipv6.c, where it is
called. To be able to use ksymoops without it giving me a segmentation fault,
and so it can find System.map, I upgraded to binutils-2.7.0.16 and libc-5.4.26.

Thirdly, When I log in as myself at console, whatever getty I log in
from, I get 'Operation not permitted', yet I am still able to log in and take
that proper tty. Kernel problem, or getty?

Lastly, and the most wierd of them, when using tar with 2.1.36, and
uncompressing any file, I get the following:

tar: Cannot chown file "foo" to uid 0 gid 100: Operation not permitted

I get this both as myself, and as the superuser.

My setup: P100, 16M ram, 1.2G, 40M, and 850M IDE drives, libc-5.4.26,
binutils-2.7.0.16, gcc-2.7.2.1

Any ideas, anyone?

BL.
