I have the exact same problem. I don't understand your reference to a BIOS.
My machine worked with 2.1.35 and the 2.1.36 patch. When I replaced the
patched version of 2.2.35 with 2.1.36 it no longer boots. As soon as the
second processor is initialized, the machine reboots. The BIOS has not
been changed.
