Kernel: Unable to load interpreter

oh yes...I forgot to mention also, that free physical ram is NOT a
problem...we've got plenty of phys. ram free and aren't even CLOSE to
touching swap, so that -should- discount that as being the problem

in fact, here is an example with about 105 people logged in via mars_nwe

[root@common /root]# free
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 63260 27000 36260 52204 2428 6612
-/+ buffers: 17960 45300
Swap: 102780 0 102780

each mars_nwe user takes up roughly 200k of ram
and according to top, there are about 142 processes running

to, at around 300 users there would be approx. 342 processes running
I shouldn't think this would be a problem, or is it? :)

*kernel newbie, but linux user/administrator sage alert*

Damnit...thtat's it....I'm just going to have to memorize the entire kernel
code :)
